Special recognition goes to Judy Tan who had a noteworthy performance.

Judy is a young and talented player who in her first pickleball tournament captured Silver in a strong Mixed Doubles 3.5 & Under field. Look for her to be a continued force on the pickleball tournament scene.

For those of you that want to dive into the stats, all of the scorecards are available for download below.

The tournament format was Round Robin so there are 2 sets of documents, one for the preliminaries (scoreboards), and one for the playoffs:

This tournament was very well organized and that was also the sense I got from speaking with many of the players that competed in it. This was no doubt due to all of the volunteers that worked tirelessly to keep the event running smoothly.

I also believe that the event ran smoothly due to the Round Robin format used. This goes back to Petio Zahariev's excellent article on "Round Robin versus Double Elimination Pickleball Tournament Formats", where he vouches for the Round Robin tournament format.

Thanks to all of our Progress Pickleball Club members who competed strongly in this tournament and who represented us well. And congratulations to all players who captured Gold and Silver.
