Awhile back, one of our players Petio Zahariev engaged in research on the pros and cons of two pickleball scoring systems: rally points and side out.

A few days ago, he made a very interesting YouTube video summarizing his research and findings to-date.

Which scoring system do you think is better for pickleball?

I'm doing research on the scoring system in pickleball. I need a few volunteers to help record alternative scores using the rally point system on a few games at the upcoming Toronto Cup Pickleball Tournament on April 13 or 14.

There will be many 4.5 and 5.0 players with a money prize for the top 3 in the Open categories. If you are planning to go and watch some high level games and also want to help me out for 1 or 2 games, please contact me via e-mail at petio_z@hotmail.com or in person on Sundays at Progress.

Click here to see the scoresheet with instructions that we will be using to record the scores.

The tournament will be hosted at the Hotel X Toronto located at 111 Princes' Boulevard.
