4 courts will be reserved for this event.

Players will rank themselves and be divided into 2 teams of hopefully equal skill levels and play timed games.

You do not need a partner. Everyone is invited to join.

*Prior to the tournament, the registered players will get an email to tell them which team they represent and are asked to wear something in that colour- red or white. That's why we simply call it "The Red and White".

COST for Red and White tournament: $3 per person paid in advance upon registration.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED- To register, do one of the following:

a) print registration form; complete it; and hand it to Mel at the Club with $3.

or

b) pick up a registration form from Mel at the table; complete it; and then hand it to Mel with your $3.

These forms will be available at the Club, starting Friday, January 6, 2017 around 9:45 a.m.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: Monday, January 23 at noon.

Registration is complete when Mel receives both the completed form and the money.

NOTE: This Red and White can accommodate 32 players only. Therefore, register asap.

FOOD AND WATER: Please bring your own food and water bottles.

LENGTH OF GAMES: We won't know the length of the games until we get the final registration count.

AGENDA FOR THE DAY:

9:20: Arrive and warm up on any courts, giving everyone a chance to warm up - not play games at this point. Schedules will be posted on clip boards on the floors and at the scorer's table. It will be up to you to check when you play and go to the appropriate courts, once we get this going. It's easy.

9:45: Announcements

10:00: Start of tournament

Play the timed games with 2 minutes between games to rotate on and off the courts. A whistle will be blown once to start the game and then blown twice to end a game. Keep playing until the ball is dead if the whistle goes during a rally. After each game, check the schedule to see when you play next and on which court. If you are playing the next game, then proceed to the correct court.
