Mel Shepard started the Progress Pickleball Club. We all made use of this club because Mel managed the club for the last three years.

He set up the courts in the morning and closed the club in the afternoon. He made sure there was paper in the washrooms. He organized clinics and tournaments and best of all he was and still is a good friend to all of us.

He gave us all a place to play pickleball.

We all owe him a vote of thanks.
